Do you work outside of your core Los Angeles service area?
Yes. While our projects are most often in Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Culver City, Hollywood, Marina del Rey, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks, Venice, West Hollywood, and Malibu, we also take on select work in other parts of California and across the country. We can coordinate seamlessly with vetted local contractors wherever your property is located.
What’s the difference between working with Lauri Morrison Studio and a larger firm?
We are a boutique studio by design. Every project receives Lauri’s direct involvement from concept to completion. You’re never “handed off” to junior staff—your vision is shaped by nearly three decades of high-end residential design experience, with equal focus on beauty and buildability.
How early should we bring you into the process?
The earlier, the better. Many design challenges—and cost overruns—can be avoided by starting with a clear vision before engaging contractors. We guide you through site analysis, permitting strategy, and budget alignment before design begins.

Yes. We’ve cultivated a trusted network of vetted professionals—structural engineers, MEP consultants, Title 24 specialists, and builders we would hire ourselves. We handle introductions and help assemble a team aligned with your project’s goals.
Do you handle permitting?
Absolutely. We coordinate the permitting process from start to finish, including city submittals, agency reviews, and any required revisions. Our familiarity with local codes and regulations allows us to anticipate challenges and keep your project moving forward.
