1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Lauri Morrison Studio is operated by Lauri Morrison, doing business as Lauri Morrison Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information through laurimorrison.com and through related inquiries and communications. Separate agreements or notices may apply to information handled during an active client project.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you contact us, request a consultation, or communicate with us, we collect the information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, telephone number, and message. You may also provide a property address, project type, budget range, timing, preferences, photographs, drawings, or other project details. Please do not submit financial account information, identification documents, or sensitive household security details through a general website form.
Technical information. When you use our website, we and the providers that help us operate it may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, and the dates and times of visits. This information may be collected through cookies, pixels, server logs, and similar technologies.
Other sources. We may receive information from a person who refers you to us, from scheduling and inquiry-management services you use to contact us, and from project participants when necessary to coordinate a matter you have requested.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to respond to inquiries, evaluate project fit, schedule consultations, communicate about requested services, maintain business records, operate and protect our website, improve site performance and visitor experience, prevent fraud or misuse, and meet legal obligations. Where permitted by law—and with consent when required—we may send studio news or information about our services. We do not treat the submission of an inquiry as consent to unrelated marketing.
We may use aggregated or deidentified information for analytics and business planning. We do not use website inquiry information to make decisions through solely automated profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. How we disclose information
We disclose information to service providers as reasonably needed to support our operations, including website hosting, form and inquiry management, customer relationship management, scheduling, email and communications delivery, analytics, security, IT support, and professional advisers. Our current website infrastructure includes LeadConnector-powered services. These providers process information for the services they perform for us and are subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.
When you request or authorize project coordination, we may share relevant information with consultants, contractors, permitting professionals, or other project participants for that purpose. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect lawful rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, sale, financing, or other business transfer, subject to applicable privacy protections.
Sale and advertising sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly share personal information collected through general project inquiries for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide any legally required opt-out method before using information in that manner.
5. Cookies and tracking choices
Our website and the providers that support it may use essential cookies needed for site operation, security, forms, and preferences, as well as limited analytics technologies that help us understand visits and improve performance. Third-party content or links may allow those third parties to collect information under their own privacy notices.
You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website features. We do not currently offer a separate cookie preference center.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Because there is no uniform industry standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, the website may not respond to them. Where applicable law requires recognition of an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control, we will treat a valid signal as a request to opt out for that browser or device.
6. Communications and your choices
You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting [email protected]. We may still send nonmarketing communications needed to respond to your request or manage an existing project. If we offer text messaging, we will provide the applicable enrollment disclosures and obtain consent when required. Website use alone does not enroll you in marketing texts.
7. Retention and security
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, taking into account the nature of the inquiry or relationship, legal and professional recordkeeping obligations, and the need to resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we delete or deidentify it, subject to lawful retention and backup limitations.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Access and privacy requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have provided. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have additional rights, including portability, withdrawal of consent, and objection to or limitation of certain processing. Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit qualifying uses of sensitive personal information, and receive nondiscriminatory treatment.
Send a request to [email protected] or call (310) 923-1208. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority. We will respond as required by applicable law; legal exceptions may limit what we can provide or delete.
9. Children and external services
Our website is intended for adults seeking professional design services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so we can address it. External websites and services have their own privacy practices; review their notices before providing information.
10. Location, changes, and contact
We operate in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they or their subprocessors operate. When required, appropriate legal safeguards are used for cross-border processing.
We may update this policy by posting a revised version and effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.

1. Website terms
These Terms of Service govern use of laurimorrison.com, operated by Lauri Morrison, doing business as Lauri Morrison Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read these terms before using the website. If you do not agree, discontinue use. These terms apply to website use to the extent enforceable under applicable law.
2. Website information and professional services
The website provides general information about our studio, projects, and design process. Content is not project-specific architectural, engineering, zoning, construction, legal, tax, or financial advice. Do not use website images, concepts, or descriptions as construction documents or as confirmation that a particular project is feasible or permitted.
An inquiry, consultation request, download, or website visit does not by itself create a professional-services relationship, reserve project capacity, or obligate either party to proceed. Professional services require a separate written agreement accepted by you and the studio.
3. Your signed agreement controls
Descriptions of pre-design and feasibility, schematic design, design development, permitting, construction documents, and construction administration illustrate our general process. Your signed agreement determines the phases included, deliverables, revision rounds, approvals, schedule, fees, payment terms, and additional services.
Website descriptions do not expand an agreed scope or include every phase in every engagement. Additional revisions, changes after approval, consultant work, plan-check responses, and construction support are governed by your signed agreement. If these website terms conflict with that agreement regarding professional services, that agreement controls. These terms do not amend an existing engagement.
4. Budgets, schedules, and approvals
Illustrative budgets, timelines, and project descriptions are informational and depend on site conditions, scope, market conditions, consultants, contractors, and public authorities. Unless expressly stated in a signed agreement, website content does not guarantee construction cost, completion dates, permit approval, insurance reimbursement, property value, rental income, or any other financial outcome. Each project requires its own evaluation.
5. Website content and intellectual property
Website text, designs, drawings, photographs, graphics, branding, and other content are owned by the studio or the relevant rights holders and are protected by applicable law. You may view the website and retain reasonable copies for personal evaluation of our services, keeping ownership notices intact. Other uses require permission unless allowed by law.
You may not copy designs for construction, commercially republish content, remove ownership notices, or imply our endorsement without authorization. Rights in project drawings and other professional deliverables are governed by the applicable signed agreement. Publication of a project does not grant permission to access, visit, or photograph a private property.
6. Information you submit
Please provide accurate contact and project information and submit only materials you have authority to share. You authorize us to use submitted materials as reasonably necessary to review and respond to your inquiry and provide requested services, subject to our Privacy Policy and any applicable agreement. Submitting materials does not transfer ownership to us or grant permission to publish your project, name, or testimonial.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the website unlawfully, impersonate another person, submit malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with website operation, harvest personal information, or infringe others’ rights. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the website, users, or our rights.
8. Third-party links and project examples
Links to publications, social media, and other third-party services are provided for convenience. We do not control their content, availability, or practices. Project examples, awards, and testimonials describe particular work or experiences; they do not promise identical results for another project.
9. Website availability and limitations
We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but it may contain errors, become outdated, or be temporarily unavailable. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its general informational content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from website use or inability to use it. This limitation concerns website use only. It does not limit duties or remedies under a signed professional-services agreement, excuse fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence, or exclude liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. Contacting us allows us to respond to your inquiry; it does not by itself authorize unrelated marketing or automated promotional texts. Any separately offered messaging program is subject to its enrollment disclosures and applicable consent requirements.
11. Governing law and disputes
California law governs these website terms, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules and subject to mandatory rights under applicable law. Please contact us first if you have a website-related concern so we can try to resolve it. This request does not prevent you from pursuing available legal remedies. Disputes concerning professional services remain subject to the signed client agreement.
12. Updates and contact
We may update these terms by posting a revised version and effective date. Changes apply prospectively, and we will provide additional notice or obtain agreement where legally required. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. These terms address website use only.
